Installing the Yellow Pages Self-Contained Widget

Our widget implementation guide shows you everything you need to know about installing the Yellow Pages® Self-Contained Widget.

The Yellow Pages® Self-Contained widget is a "cut & paste" service that enables you to embed a Yellow Pages® "widget" within a defined part of your site. This enables your users to find & locate Yellow Pages® businesses whilst keeping users within your own site.

Self Contained Standard Widget

Step 1. Enter default parameters

Simply enter your required information in the fields below, and we'll automatically generate your Yellow Pages® Self-Contained Widget in Step 2.

You don't have to use both Default Area and Default State, either one can be left off the URL. For example if you want the map to default to all of Victoria you can just specify "default_state=Victoria" (or "default_state=VIC") and leave off the default_area parameter. As another example, if you want the map to default to a postcode, specify "default_area=3121" and leave off the default_state parameter.

For Default Location, all text (except a list of postcodes) is sent straight to the Yellow Search Service in a free text location field. A list of postcodes is broken up and sent as separate postcode elements.

Default Area: A single postcode, suburb or tourist region

Default State: Full name or state code (e.g. VIC or TAS)

Default Location: A single postcode, list of comma and/or space separated postcodes, state, suburb or tourist region

Step 2. Copy and paste the code into your web page
